Specialist Planting Design

Plants are the life and soul of the garden and a carefully considered planting scheme can greatly enhance any outdoor space, bringing pleasure throughout the year.

As a qualified planting designer, I enjoy helping clients to achieve the most from their gardens whether it be a small back yard, stately walled garden or an expansive open site with far flung views.

Planting design involves not only the art of bringing together colour, shape and texture; but the science of understanding which plants will thrive in a given location giving colour and interest throughout the seasons.

I am happy to design the planting for individual borders or for a whole garden and have worked on renovating overly mature gardens and planning new schemes from scratch. I am also able to collaborate with landscapers on larger projects, particularly where structural planting is required.

Garden audits can be carried out for clients who have recently taken over a garden and provide a great starting point for planning any improvements.
